Neither of these films have come out, but I’m already in turmoil over the possibility of Denzel Washington/ Daniel Day Lewis showdown for Best Actor. It would be each man’s third Oscar. Day Lewis has been nominated for Best Actor 4 times and won for There Will Be Blood and My Left Foot. Washington has five nominations (three for Best Actor and two for Supporting) and won for Glory (Supporting) and Training Day.
One does not simply CHOOSE between Denzel Washington and Daniel Day Lewis.
I want to apologize in advance to everyone in my immediate vicinity on Oscar night because I won’t be able to control my emotions.
